If you see the word “AMMONIUM” on your disinfectant label, it is hazardous to children, pets, and shouldn’t be used around food. Generally know as QUATS, they are the most common disinfectant. Read the label… “Rinsing required. Do not use around food and food prep areas.”
Bleach is obviously a poison and is corrosive.
HYPOCHLOROUS ACID (HOCl) is effective, safe, and doesn’t require rinsing or wiping. All mammals naturally produce it. Hospitals wipe premature babies with it. Supermarkets rinse produce with it. 100X more effective than bleach, and I’ll spray my face and mouth with it on a visit! It’s that safe.
Why your disinfectant’s label “99.9% effective and safe” has a qualifier… if “used as directed”,
and YOU AREN’T!
Use as directed is: Remove humans and animals. Use gloves, mask, and eye protection, spray, let it stay wet for 3 to 10 minutes, rinse THOROUGHLY, wipe dry. Spray and wiping does little to kill pathogens. And the the four most common chemicals in your bottles aren’t safe.
They are bleach, quats (ammonium), phenols, and hydrogen peroxide. Enzymes eliminate or mask odors. They aren’t disinfectants.
I’m seeing bottles for sale as “No Rinse and Food Safe”. The get diluted down to a sanitizer level (not a disinfectant level). The must stay wet for 10 minutes, plus the concentrates are hazardous.
MY BACKGROUND
This website is purposely plain. I do build nice ones. I’m providing you with a quick overview of a FDA/EPA approved disinfectant chemicals, and why HOCl is really the only safe and effective choice.
Search for the “FDA N-list”. There are 33 chemicals on the list very well detailed. Only hypochlorous acid (HOCl) ends up as a top choice for you to use. It’s the choice of the World Health Organization.
When COVID-19 hit, three of us became interested in HOCl. It’s been around 100 years, and has been used to treat wounds during wars. Keep it handy for the kids’ and pets’ cuts and scrapes. It’s also the best hand sanitizer.
We tested products from 10 manufacturers. Only 8 measured the strength indicated on the label, measured as PPM, parts per million. We became distributors for one that did pass, selling to race/show horse stables, kennels, day spas, hotels, cruise ships, schools, and more.
I recently found a more reliable, experienced manufacturer, with good pricing and quick shipping. It’s ENVIROCLEANSE.
Start with the science on my website and visit Envirocleanse.us HERE.
Order through a distributor… me.
From my testing, even though the label reads 250ppm, it is produced at 600 to 700+ ppm. Because FDA labeling is so strict, only that posted amount can be discussed by the company. Measure and dilute 1:1 with water, and you will be fine, and your total cost will be $11/gallon.
You can use hand or electronic misters. Home Depot has the Ryobi 4 gallon backpack for $199.
The Military Has Used HOCl For Decades To Treat Wounds

Daycare and Schools
Quickly and safely mist the entire facility, including play areas, toys, desks, hands, scrapes, and even bathrooms. Parents had successful lawsuits, when it was discovered that unsafe chemicals were used to disinfect. Popular hand sanitizers were also included.
“A Lynnfield, MA parent is upset about how those cleaning wipes were used in his daughter’s class at Huckleberry Hill School. And his concern caused the state to intervene.” I read that there was a monetary award to the parent.
Quats (ammonium on the label) have been linked to asthma in children, and possibly autism. Why take a chance? Your body’s immune system produces HOCl (hypochlorous acid), so you can refer to it as a “natural disinfectant”.
Do kids touch things and then put their fingers in their mouths? Why use a harmful chemical when you can use HOCl? Use it as a hand sanitizer, too. No rinsing required as with ALL other products.

Restaurants and Home Kitchens
Stop using quats. The label says don’t use it around food or prep areas. Rinsing and wiping doesn’t help much. HOCl is used ON food in shipping and at your supermarket. Just spray… that’s it. Use it as a hand sanitizer. Many doctors do in order to avoid skin damaging alcohol.

The Dining Area
The table, chairs, the surrounding area. Just spray, even with other patrons nearby.
Quats have been linked to asthma attacks, and health problems with pregnant women. Why harm your customers? You can disinfect a table with HOCl, even with diners nearby.

Gyms, Fitness and Sports Centers
The entire facility, including the locker area, showers, and bathrooms can be disinfected and deodorized. Yes, you can use it on your entire body if you have to skip the shower. You can use it as a mouthwash!
All the equipment and mats. HOCl (at least our formulation) is not corrosive. Spray and air dry. You can wipe if you need to dry quickly. Again, far safer and more effective than what you are currently using.

Stables, Stalls, Arenas
Our customers include race horse / show horse / training facilities. Spraying HOCl has proven to be 80% faster than the usual stall disinfecting methods that require rinsing. Safe for birthing areas. Add to water troughs.
HOCl is used to treat tack, saddles, sores, rain rot, cuts, food storage areas (reduces the fly population), shower area, and trailers. $100 to you if I can’t PROVE that you are using the WRONG products!

Kennels, Doggie Day Care, Breeders, Kitty Litter Boxes
Our customers use it for the play areas, crates, toys, quarantine areas, and even directly on the dogs. I use it on the cat’s litter box – it disinfects and kills the odor. Cats are sensitive to chemicals. Only use HOCl.

Hotels, Nursing Homes, Cleaning Services, Veterinarians, dental Offices…
cruise ships, sports/music venues… any disinfecting application.
In hospital rooms and nurshing homes, patients do not have to be removed from the room. The HOCl mist is actually beneficial for immune compromised patients. Doctors recommend that HOCl be used in room humidifiers.
Again – $1oo to you if I can’t prove our disinfectant is better, safer, and more effective that whatever you are using!

Med Spas, Hair Salons, Nail Salons
Not only can you disinfect everything, HOCl is used as a skin treatment service, and is also in offered as a product you can sell for home use. Private labeling is available.
Two new profitable menu items for you. Cosmetics companies are customers of my manufacturer who formulates and bottles HOCl skin care products. We will give you excellent profit margins. Call me.
HOCl is 100X More Effective Than Bleach
Hypochlorous acid is the prime disinfectant ingredient in chlorine-based disinfectants, like bleach. However, bleach can have harmful side effects. HOCL extracted only the microbe destroying agent in chlorine-based disinfectants, as it is naturally produced in the human body.
One Stop HOCl Research
Years ago, I gathered up all the research articles I could and posted them to SAFE-DISINFECTANT.COM. There’s a lot there, but it saves you Googling time.
Try Perplexity.ai. It’s an amazing AI tool that also shows footnotes for its research sources. Try “HOCl vs quats” and “Are quats safe for children and pets”.

The free version of Perplexity has daily restrictions, and the Pro version is about $120 per year. I can give you a link to buy the Pro version for ony $27/year.

Spray quarts by a case of 12.
Gallons by a case of 4.
5 gallon bucket.
55 gallon barrel.
275 gallon tote.
The case of 4 gallons is $58 + $26 shipping from Texas + $3.63 MA sales tax = $87.63. $21.91/gallon.
My recommendation of diluting 1:1 brings your cost down to $11/gallon, and a gallon goes a long way.
The case of 12 quart spray bottles is $99 + $26 shipping from Texas + $6.19 MA sales tax = $131.19. The quarts, as with the gallons, can be diluted 1:1, or used full strength.
131.19/ 12 = $11/qt. Diluted is $5.50/qt.
Empty spray bottles are cheap. The 4 gallon case may make more sense.
All the products are shipped from the manufacturer, so the total price is incredibly low.

Pump pressure sprayers work well for small areas, but we recommend the Ryobi 18V 4 gallon backpack sprayer sold by Home Depot.
$199 with battery and charger. Free delivery.
